This was a great project to work on. It was an existing detached family house set in a reasonably large site. The client wanted to replace the existing conservatory with a new extension comprising an enlarged kitchen/diner, seating area and bar. The family have a passion for Japanese architecture and furniture and hoped to incorporate this in the new design. Applying this to a Mock Tudor property could have been a disaster! However, using the black posts to frame the new build works beautifully in relation to the existing Tudor facade.
I’m told the family love the new space so much they now spend the majority of their time here and barely use the rest of the house!
